How Barra Networks works
A combination of a digital platform and real meetups — structured enough to create commitment, open enough to let real relationships form.
Local Hubs
After being accepted, you're assigned to a regional hub of 10 to 20 members — with its own feed, its own events and discussions, and a Hub Lead who coordinates locally.
Nomad Chapter (currently: Founders Chapter)
Traveling a lot or don't have a matching hub nearby? The digital Nomad Chapter connects you with other members, wherever you are. During this build-up phase, all new members start here as the Founders Chapter, until enough local hubs exist.
Buddy System
You're paired with a buddy for regular exchange — with shared goals and structured check-ins (a quick call, a meetup, or a substantial message exchange all count). Your first check-in happens within 7 business days of being paired; after that, we recommend at least every 14 days.
Events
From hub dinners and breakfasts to sport sessions, workshops, and the annual community event — with signup, waitlist, and recap right in the platform.
Feed & Exchange
Share wins, ask questions, announce travel, or look for collaborators — visible to your hub, the Nomad Chapter, or the whole community, with no reach-chasing. Short polls in the feed work too.
Personal Goals
Track professional, athletic, or personal goals, link them to your buddy, and follow your progress — supportive, not a habit tracker.
Badges & Leaderboard
Reaching goals, attending events, and keeping up reliable buddy check-ins earn you badges on your profile and points on the buddy leaderboard — per hub or community-wide. You decide whether your buddy pair shows up there visibly or anonymously.
Accountability, Covered
If a check-in is overdue, your Hub Lead sees it first and can follow up directly, instead of it quietly falling through the cracks. Only if a hub has no lead do admins step in directly. No one is left alone with a stalled buddy partnership.
How your application works
No automated scoring, no black box — every application is read by a person.

Application Form
You answer a few questions about yourself, your goals, and what you'd bring to the community — about 10 minutes.

Personal Review
We read every application ourselves — no automated scoring. If needed, we'll invite you to a short conversation.
- 03
Response
You'll hear back by email: acceptance, waitlist, rejection, or a request to talk. You can also check your status anytime under /apply/status.
- 04
Activate Your Account
If accepted, you'll get a welcome email with a link — that's where you set your password; no account exists you could log into before that.

Hub & Buddy Match
After activation, you're assigned to your Local Hub (or the Nomad Chapter) and meet your first buddy shortly after.
A network, not a sales channel
So there's no misunderstanding before you apply: Barra Networks is not a venue for sales pitches or coaching acquisition.
